Department of Culture and Tourism of Odessa City Council takes a direct part in organization and conduction of different mass-cultural events. For example, a world famous festival “Yumorina”, Festival of festivals “I want to Odessa”, which includes more than 70 festivals of different focus, City Day and many other activities.
Besides, Department of Culture and Tourism of Odessa City Council makes a lot of efforts to increase the tourist attractiveness of Odessa, promotion of the city as a tourist and business capital of Ukraine both on national and international levels. Odessa region is a famous centre of tourist and recreational household, which hosts more than 3 million tourists annually. Every guest can find the rest up to his taste in the city. Odessa is rightly considered to be a club capital of Ukraine, as thousands of tourists comes to Black Sea coast in summer to enjoy the rest and to be charged with the energy of summer dance floors.

敖德萨文化旅游部直接参与不同文化活动的组织与宣传。例如闻名世界的愚人节、“我想去敖德萨”文化节、城市日等70余个活动。
除了这些，敖德萨文化旅游部努力增强敖德萨的旅游吸引力，促进城市成为乌克兰的旅游与商业之都。敖德萨作为著名的旅游娱乐中心，每年都会吸引300万余名游客来敖观光。在城市里每位游客都可以按自己的想法度过一段美妙的休闲时光。作为乌克兰的夜生活之都，每年夏天都有许多游客来到黑海的阳光海岸，享受敖德萨酒吧的动感舞池。
旅游文化部还会参与各种各样的国际旅游展览和讲习班，在文化与旅游领域发展国际关系，并带来新的想法和项目。
该部门定期设计和出版关于城市和旅游的各种周边产品，为国际和当地大众媒体代表组织新闻见面会和招待会。由于部门的齐心协力， 关于敖德萨的信息出现在各大杂志，乌克兰国际航空公司的飞行杂志上还刊载了关于敖德萨的特稿。
敖德萨一年365天都在期待着游客们的到来。敖德萨还有令人称道的美食，敖德萨的珍馐美味可以在最大的蔬菜水果市场Privoz找到，在超过1000个咖啡馆和餐馆中找到，满足每个人挑剔的口味。敖德萨美食因文化和民族的交融而诞生。在这儿可以享用棱鲱肉丸子、烤碎鲱鱼马铃薯、胡萝卜炖肉、鱼子酱、敖德萨小虎鱼。所有的菜都让人食指大动，可以说在敖德萨不可能有不好吃的菜。
