

Zimbabwe Parks & Wildlife Management Authority
Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZIMPARKS) manages one of the largest estates in the country, about 5 million hectares of land or 13% of Zimbabwe's total land area. It should be noted that most of the Parks are located in Ecological Regions Four and Five or rugged mountainous areas which would not have much economic alternative use.
Zimbabwe National Parks has great diversity and is excellent for good wildlife viewing. The landscape, several hundred km of good road network for game viewing. Most destinations offer good general access and people with mobility challenges do make frequent use of the park.
Adventure, with the main activity being game drives, visitors arrive in the park either in their own vehicles or on tour operator transport. The park game drive vehicles are available for guided day drives and also end of day drive to see the nocturnal animals. We are working on accessible vehicles in the parks to become a reality. Accommodation options include lodges, chalets and camping sites in and within the Parks
Support and accessibility, there are variety of boardwalk, trails, picnic sites and other visitor destinations throughout the park. Visitors are encouraged to find out what destinations will be suitable for them.
The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority is the custodian of 13.1% of the country’s land set aside for the preservation of flora and fauna.
ZIMPARKS offers accommodation facilities in its estate. The accommodation include, Lodges, Cottages, Chalets, Tented Camps, Camping and Picnicking. Zimparks manages:
- Game Parks and Water Bodies for Tourism Recreation
- Offers Self-Catering Accommodation Facilities and 1 Motel
- Offers Conference and Events Facilities
- Offers Various Wildlife based activities and natural and historical attractions such as "The Victoria Falls"
